This week i focused on consolidating my work into unreal to make my overall structure, revisiting block in, snapping points. Making my octagon style environment and starting to really plan what I need and additional assets to model and create.

I made corner pieces and started to place pillars in the scene and work out what elements I want to be separate, I decided to keep the small pillars separate from the walls to give flexibility on how many to place in.

I'm happy with how the curved corner pieces look and starting to get there with it fitting together.

I completed my floor tiling texture in substance designer. And brought it into unreal onto a 400x400plane.

Realised the the way my walls connect I may need to double the size of my arch to get it to fit across 2x 400 width or make a 200 width wall piece to come up to the arch. Which I feel I'm more likely to do as the arch is now a bit too big to be appreciated in the top down view mode. As much as I do like how it looks from a distance and fits the gothic theme, no one will see the nice top detailing if its this big.
