I had worse artefacts before this but didnt get a chance to screenshot, this was the last small geometry error I fixed on my trimsheet

Working on the trim sheet

Struggling with the back and fourth process between maya, zbrush and substance.

I was exporting various models from maya and had to go back in to create the lambert materials and then was having artefacts in the geometry when in zbrush so fixed enough to get to the point where dynamesh could get it clean.

I wanted to do a good bit of sculpting in zbrush to get the material textures alot of the way there and then use substance to finalise the materials but I wanted to build a solid base in zbrush of some structure of shapes for the materials to work off of.

Polygroup zbrush vs sculpting issues

I couldn't seem to figure out getting a sculpted higher poly shape from zbrush into substance and baking on the high poly I didn't get my head around for having individual polygroups whilst a sculpted mesh. When I dynameshed and sculpted I would lose the polygroup ID definitions so resorted to moving forward with basic geometry on my trimsheet and build it out in substance.

Back and fourth with maya, zbrush, substance painter

I wanted to just get into building some interesting contrasting materials in substance and really got into it. i started about creating burnt wooden planks, stone with metalwork running through, concrete decorative edges, dark slate style blocks (which I didn't use in the end), a rock material that is related to the floor material I'd already made, and a metal.

Close up of textures I'm particularly happy with in substance.

Separate issues I was having with unwrapping my pillars this week to try and see how the trimsheet would look and decide on what goes where.
