At this point I now have a wider awareness of what is required of the project, I'm taking this week to understand the technical aspects which are completely new to me - version control with fork, git and unreal.

These aspects overwhelm me a little so I am breaking it down into smaller tasks to gain a manageable way to start making some progress.

  1. mural tutorial on git/repo

  2. sketches and concepting

  3. make basic blocks in maya

  4. play with various environment builds in unreal

This week my priority was to follow the version control tutorial and fully understand how to manage this. I also took the time to get to grips with unreal and place in some blockouts. I realised my pivot points were off when exporting so now need to go back into maya to adjust. I had thought I'd placed each pivot for each dummy asset but it seems not!

I have brainstormed in unreal creating a bit of an ungrounded block out idea, I'm wanting to have a bridge or some level changes in my dungeon to have some more emersion but still unsure on how this might be played and viewed as a top down. I feel it could be interesting to have the vision of repeating coffins or something gothic dissapearing down below in a matrix inspired mass of bodies.
